The pattern behind all things.
This t-shirt features the Web of Wyrd, a symbol that brings together all the runes in one woven design. The original concept appeared in Helrunar by Jan Fries in 1993 - a modern interpretation of old ideas about fate, time, and the threads that bind them.
In 2024, Isar Oakmund reworked the design for Northern black, refining its form into what we now call the Web of Urd, named for the Norn who guards the spring of fate beneath Yggdrasil.
The result is a clean, balanced design that connects old symbols with modern craft. It also served as the logo for our 2025 Kickstarter project “The Runes,” which led to the creation of our book and rune deck.
"By the ancient spring in the most well-hidden corner of the cosmos, there stands a congregation of women, wielders of scissors, thread and spindle. They draw breath in unison, they work in accord on their majestic workings, a task undertaken for the cosmos itself. The web of all things and nothing, the web of wyrd, the weaving of fate!"
