The art is still here.

The books are still here. They are just digital for now.

WHAT IS CHANGING AND WHY

From the end of 2024, new EU product safety legislation known as GPSR requires all businesses selling physical goods into the European market to meet specific compliance and documentation standards. We are working through that process now.

Rather than rush it and get it wrong, we have chosen to pause physical shipping to the EU temporarily while we get everything properly in place. Our full digital catalogue is available without restriction in the meantime, and physical shipping will resume once we are compliant.

We appreciate your patience. It will not be a long wait.

COMMUNITY CREATIONS: INSPIRED BY NORTHERN BLACK ART BOOKS

A thousand years ago, warriors and mystics of the European continent marked their skin with symbols of power and protection. Today, the tradition continues.

Our customers don’t just buy; they live the culture. See their tattoos, artwork, and creations inspired by Northern Black’s designs.

When I first started drawing Nordic art I was a little directionless and pretty confused when it came to all the different art styles. Isars books on Nordic art really showed me the way and helped me develop the style I’m known for tattooing today.

Skal! The Viking Art Tome is epic! A fantastic guide containing historical style and background information for anyone interested in exploring Nordic themed art applied to craft - tattooing or otherwise. Thank you for making it!

Isar's books have always been a great source of inspiration for my work, from the very beginning until today. I can highly recommend "The Viking Art Tome" and also “Runes, Sigils & Bindrunes”. I really like the way he describes these topics and I can identify with them very well.
