PAGAN ALL OVER!

This t-shirt pays homage to the wide reach of pagan belief during the Viking Age - a time when faith was carried not by temples, but by symbols worn close to the heart.

Each Mjölnir design was rendered by Isar Oakmund, inspired by authentic artefacts discovered across Europe. Beneath every hammer, in Elder Futhark runes, lies the name of the place where that relic was found.

In Norse culture, the Hammer of Thor stood as both a spiritual emblem and a statement of defiance. As Christianity spread through the North, Mjölnir became a mark of identity - the most enduring symbol of the pagan faith. Hundreds have been unearthed, many found in female graves, sometimes bound together.

According to legend, Mjölnir was forged by the dwarven brothers Brokkr and Eitri, masters of the earth’s fire and metal. The hammer could strike with thunder’s force and return to Thor’s hand, or shrink to pendant size when worn about his neck - a story that inspired generations to wear its likeness as a sign of power, balance, and belonging.
