Made entirely in house at Northern Black, this skull was cast in high quality resin, dyed black, and then hand painted by Isar Oakmund in acrylic with a composition of bindrunes and sigils built around a single word: protection. Broad, unwavering and absolute. Where A Ward for Kin and Home focuses its intention on the household and those within it, The Protector casts its net wider. It is a ward for the person. A shield carried in object form.

The bindrunes and sigils sit in Isar's hand across the black resin, a composition that does not ask what it is protecting against. It does not need to. Protection is protection. Whatever comes, this piece stands between it and its owner.

Some objects earn their place in a space by looking the part. This one earns it by doing the job.
