HAND OF TYR T-SHIRT

The hand that bit back.
This shirt features the hand of Tyr, the god who lost his hand to the wolf Fenrir in an act of courage and sacrifice. Here it’s reimagined with ornamental Viking-age tattoos drawn by Isar Oakmund, and one final message - “F**k Off.”
It’s a nod to Tyr’s strength and sense of justice, expressed with Northernblack’s usual dark humour. Printed in white on black cotton, the design blends old myth with a modern grin.
A NOTE FROM ISAR OAKMUND
“A design spawned by a somewhat silly notion in my head, this t-shirt features the hand of Tyr in this, the most popular pose of asking the viewer to ‘Fuck Off’. The hand is of course decorated with my style of ornamental Viking Age tattoos. The idea behind the ‘Fuck Off’ in this design is to draw the viewer back to the tale of Tyr, losing his hand to Fenris on behalf of all the other gods who behave ever so stupidly. Therefore that arm would, in the ever-lasting void, float around flipping people off as some sort of retribution to them all."
