SOWILO HANGING DECORATION

The Sowilo Hanging Decoration is a hand made wooden Yule ornament carrying Isar Oakmund's design of the Sowilo rune, finished with twine for hanging. Small batch. When they are gone, they are gone.

Sowilo is the rune of the sun, of solar force, divine radiance and victory. It is one of the most powerful symbols in the Elder Futhark - the rune that does not negotiate with darkness, that burns where it is placed and illuminates what it touches. At Yule, when the whole season is built around the return of the sun and the promise that the light will come back, Sowilo on the tree is both the symbol and the thing itself. The sun returning. The victory of light over the longest dark. The rune that has always belonged at midwinter.

Hand made and hand finished. Twine included for hanging.
