The Odin Godmask Altarpiece is a handcrafted work of Norse-inspired art by Isar Oakmund, created to honour Odin, the Allfather and seeker of wisdom. Each piece is cast in resin and mounted on varnished birch wood, locally sourced and finished by hand.

The mask is textured like granite, echoing the ancient rock carvings of Southern Scandinavia. Odin’s missing eyemarks his sacrifice for knowledge, while a spear point within his beard represents Gungnir, his weapon of truth and power. Above, crown-shaped knotwork signifies his rule over gods and men.

Behind the mask, engraved bindrunes speak of rulership, wisdom, and ancestry - connecting this modern piece to the heart of Norse myth.

Each altarpiece is unique, blending traditional craftsmanship with symbolism that endures.
