The design is based on the Madsebakke suncross, one of the most significant Bronze Age solar symbols found carved into the rocks of Bornholm, Denmark, paired with two Sowilo runes - the Elder Futhark rune of solar force, divine light and victory. Together they form a composition rooted in the oldest layer of northern European sun veneration, predating the Viking Age and running through it, a symbol for anyone who needs a little extra sunshine in life and wants to ask for it with something that has genuine depth behind it.

The sun has been honoured in northern Europe since long before the Norse gods were named. This piece carries that tradition forward, placed on an ethically sourced roe deer skull and mounted on wood where it can catch the light daily.
