Minted in approx 900AD in Hedeby near Schleswig, then part of Denmark. The original exhibited at the Wikinger museum Haithabu near Schleswig, Germany.
The Vikings' lightweight, fast ships were of great importance to them for their daring voyages but also for the transport of goods.
