EIHWAZ HANGING DECORATION

The Eihwaz Hanging Decoration is a hand made wooden Yule ornament carrying Isar Oakmund's design of the Eihwaz rune, finished with twine for hanging. Small batch. When they are gone, they are gone.

Eihwaz is the rune of the yew tree, of endurance and the axis between worlds. The yew is one of the oldest living things in the northern landscape, a tree that outlasts almost everything around it, sacred in the Norse tradition as a symbol of death, rebirth and the passage between states. It is also, of course, an evergreen - the tree that holds its colour through the darkest months when everything else has let go. Hanging Eihwaz on a Yule tree is not a coincidence. It is the right tree on the right tree, at exactly the right time of year.

Hand made and hand finished. Twine included for hanging.
