The bindrune is built from four runes: Gebo, the rune of the gift, of the deliberate giving of something with intention and care behind it; Dagaz, the rune of dawn and breakthrough, of the light that arrives at the turning point when the dark has gone on long enough; Tiwaz, the rune of Tyr, of justice, honour and unwavering strength, the force that holds its ground so that the light has somewhere safe to land; and Sowilo, the sun rune, solar force and divine radiance, the light itself at full strength. Together they form a composition that gives light and protection as one unified act. Not light without the strength to keep it. Not protection without the warmth of what it is protecting.
