ALFABLOT.

Created for the turning of the year, the Álfablót T-Shirt channels the spirit of Viking-age ritual, Samhain, and old-world magic. Printed on black unisex cotton, the design is available in orange or purple - colours of firelight and shadow.

At the centre sits a Mammen-style Godmask, carved into a pumpkin. The knotwork takes inspiration from the 10th-century Mammen axe unearthed in Jutland, Denmark - one of the finest examples of Viking ceremonial art. The mask may echo Odin in disguise, a recurring figure in Norse myth where gods often walked among mortals unseen.

Surrounding the Godmask are symbols tied to both heathen lore and Samhain’s deeper roots:

• A Norse cat, sacred to Freyja, goddess of magic and the unseen.

• A skull, representing mortality and ancestral reverence.

• A broomstick, drawn from stories of the völur - Norse seeresses who walked between worlds.

Each element weaves together myth, ancestry, and the changing of seasons, creating a piece that bridges light and darkness - life and what lies beyond.
